Today in World War II History

70 Years Ago—Nov. 11, 1943: US Eighth Air Force activates “Carpetbagger” squadrons to deliver supplies to partisans in Nazi-occupied Europe. US Fifth Air Force, US naval planes, and RAAF make major raid on Japanese base at Rabaul, destroying 55 aircraft.
