70 Years Ago—Mar. 29, 1944: US expands North Atlantic medical air evacuation to move 200 patients/day, clearing hospitals in England for D-Day. German air raid on the 93rd Evacuation Hospital at Anzio, Italy, kills 3 patients and 2 enlisted hospital personnel.
