70 Years Ago—Dec. 7, 1941:
Japanese attack Pearl Harbor, 2403 killed. Hitler orders “Nacht und Nebel Erlass”—dissenters to disappear into “Night and Fog.” In California, military guards are placed on the Golden Gate Bridge and at aircraft factories.
