70 Years Ago—July 8, 1943: Nazis execute French resistance leader Jean Moulin. Gen. Dwight Eisenhower arrives at Malta, Headquarters for Operation Husky, the upcoming invasion of Sicily.

  1. Oh my, Sarah! Only you on this side of the pond would remember him. Did you know each year on the 22nd of August in commemoration of Jean Moulin, Code name MAX - and the liberation of the town in 1945 -, there is a celebration in Beziers, his hometown?
