Badoglio and Eisenhower on HMS Nelson

70 Years Ago—Sept. 29, 1943: Gen. Eisenhower and Italian premier Badoglio sign official Italian armistice on HMS Nelson at Malta. 100^th Infantry Battalion (Japanese-Americans primarily from Hawaii) is attached to US Fifth Army in Italy.
