Book Beat - When Love Calls by Lorna Seilstad

Hannah Gregory has her hands full taking care of her two feisty sisters after the death of their parents, but when lawyer Lincoln Cole informs them that the bank is foreclosing on their home, she has to find a job. Hannah begins training as a switchboard operator, but "Hello Girls" must follow strict rules, including not consorting with gentlemen during the training period. What is she to do when Lincoln shows incredible kindness to her sisters - and undeniable interest in Hannah?

When Love Calls by Lorna Seilstad is full of charming missed connections and crossed wires. The sweet romance, engaging characters, fun plot, and fascinating historical details are all topped off with the author's trademark humor (I adored her Lake Manawa Summers series!). The relationship between the three sisters is particularly enchanting - funny, encouraging, squabbling, and deeply loving. I'm thoroughly looking forward to Charlotte's and Tessa's stories in the next two books in the Gregory Sisters series!
